                 I have been trusted to do housewatch and handyman work in Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing, and The Brooks since 2000.  There are many people doing housewatch, many of them do a very good job, and basically we all approach our inspections in the same manner.  We flush toilets, run water, check windows and doors, etc.  But, my background in Pest Control and my involvement in Home Inspections, allows me the knowledge and insight to recognize a potential insect,mold, or mildew problem.  I work closely with Pest Control companies, plumbers, electricians, and roofers to handle situations beyond our capabilities.  Our housewatch service is customized to each individual.  I do short term as well as long term absentee.  I help with rental properties, fast turn overs, cleaning and maintenance.

STANDARDS AND PRACTICES

A standard and consistant inspection will be performed each time.  Water will be turned on upon arriving and shut off when leaving.

OUTSIDE

The entire perimeter will be checked.   Checking windows, doors, garages, and pool cages for any sign of entry attempt or damage.

INSIDE

Water areas:  All toilets will be flushed and water will be run in all sinks, tubs, and showers.  At this time we will be checking for leaks, mold/mildew, or insect presence.

Windows and Doors:  Will be checked for entry attempt, breakage, water damage, or insects. 

    Mechanical Equipment: Hot water heater checked for leaks.  A/C and humidistat cycled. Filters checked and changed as needed. 

Misc.: Garbage disposal run, cabinets and pantries checked, just to name a few.  A flashlight will be used for detailed attention taken throughout.  Finding a problem at the onset is crucial with the elements we deal with in S.W.F.

                                    HANDYMAN SERVICES

Most of my handyman services are for my housewatch clients or referrals from them.  I do all types, misc. painting, drywall, ceiling fans, paver work, and general remodeling  My background as a General Contractor as well as a Superintendant has given me a tremendous background in all phases of the construction and remodeling business.  I also know when it's beyond my limits and have a long list of qualified electricians, plumbers, tile work, etc. so no job would be either too small or too large.
